Who we are
Class Ready is operated by B.Readi Solutions, Trenarrett Down, Launceston, Cornwall, UK, PL15 7SY. In this notice, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to B.Readi Solutions.
For privacy questions, access requests or requests to delete your account or personal information, email jvirtualpa@gmail.com.
This notice covers the Class Ready website and mobile app. It explains how information is handled when teachers, school staff, parents and guardians use Class Ready.
Your school and Class Ready
Your dance school or organisation decides which student information it needs, why it needs it, who can access it and how long its records should be kept. It is normally the data controller for its student, attendance, enrolment, safeguarding and school billing records. Class Ready processes those records on the school’s behalf to provide the service.
B.Readi Solutions is the controller for information used for our own account administration, support, security and business administration. These roles can differ according to the particular activity. Your school’s privacy notice applies alongside this one. Contact your school first about its student records; you can also contact us and we will help direct your request.
Information handled by Class Ready
Depending on the features you and your school use, we handle:
- Account information: your name, email address, authentication information, account identifier, school memberships and role.
- Student and family information: student names, dates of birth, parent or guardian names, email addresses and telephone numbers, and links between children, guardians and schools. A school may supply this information before a parent joins.
- School activity: enrolments, classes, timetables, attendance, private lessons, competition entries, cancellations, notices and related correspondence.
- Forms and uploads: answers to forms, consent records, notes, documents and images that you or authorised school staff submit. A school’s forms may include health, accessibility or other sensitive information. Only provide information relevant to the school’s stated purpose.
- Invoices and orders: billing details, amounts, payment status, transaction references and orders for school goods or services. Payment card details entered in Stripe’s payment pages are handled by Stripe; Class Ready uses payment references and status information to manage invoices.
- Support and help: messages you send for support and, if you choose to use the AI help assistant, your chat messages and the contextual information described below.
- Technical information: information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP addresses, browser or device details, request and error logs, and email delivery status. If you enable push notifications, a device notification token is associated with your account and, where applicable, your school.
We obtain information from you, your school, authorised staff and guardians, payment and delivery providers, and your interaction with the service.
Why information is used
Information is used to create and secure accounts, provide the appropriate school or parent view, operate timetables and registers, process forms and orders, manage invoices, deliver school communications, provide support, and investigate errors or misuse.
For activities where we are the controller, our UK data-protection grounds are:
- Contract: administering and providing the service you request where necessary to perform our agreement with you.
- Legitimate interests: operating a reliable service, responding to support requests and preventing fraud or misuse, subject to balancing those interests against your rights, particularly children’s rights.
- Legal obligation: retaining or disclosing information when the law requires it.
- Consent: where consent is required for an optional use. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Your school is responsible for identifying and explaining its own lawful grounds for school records. Health information and other special-category information require an additional legal condition. The school must identify that condition and obtain explicit consent where it relies on consent. Accepting this notice is not blanket consent to all processing.
Children’s information
The school administration and parent features are intended to be used by teachers, authorised staff, parents and guardians. Children’s information is used to support the school activities described above. A parent or guardian should supply information only where entitled to do so, and schools should explain their use of it in language appropriate to the child’s age.
Children have their own data-protection rights. We and the school may need to consider the child’s age, understanding and circumstances when handling a request made on their behalf. Please contact us if information about a child appears to have been used or shared incorrectly.
Who receives information
Access depends on your role and school relationships. Authorised school staff can access the records needed for their work, and parents can access information linked to their family. Your school may publish information it chooses for its public school page.
Service providers process information needed to deliver their services. Class Ready’s current software uses:
- Lovable and Supabase-backed services for application hosting, account authentication, databases and file storage, with supporting hosting and network infrastructure.
- Resend for transactional and school emails, including delivery and failure reporting.
- Stripe for payment processing and connected school payment accounts.
- Apple’s notification services, and platform notification services where supported, for device notifications you enable.
- Lovable’s AI gateway and the selected model provider, currently a Google Gemini model, when you use the optional help assistant.
Where a school enables a connection to Show Ready or sends competition information to CompSuite, the relevant class, student or competition details are shared through that connection. Ask your school which connections it uses.
Embedded OpenStreetMap maps and online Google Fonts may receive technical request information when they load. Opening directions in Google Maps or following an external link takes you to that provider’s service and privacy arrangements.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations, resolving disputes or protecting the service. This notice does not authorise a school to share information for unrelated purposes.
Optional AI help assistant
When you send a question, the assistant sends recent chat messages, your user category, the current page and, when available, your school’s name through Lovable’s AI gateway to the selected model provider to generate an answer. The assistant is not a private channel to your school and its answers can be incorrect.
Do not enter passwords, card details, children’s identifying information, medical information or confidential school records in chat. Recent chat history is also kept in local browser storage so the conversation can reopen; use the chat’s clear-history control to remove that local history. Provider-side processing and retention are separate from clearing the local copy. Contact us for information about the provider arrangements applicable to your request.
Storage on your device and permissions
The service uses local storage and similar technology for sign-in sessions, preferences and recent help-chat history. Hosting and security providers may also use cookies needed to deliver or protect the website.
On supported iPhone builds, opening the parent portal online automatically saves a limited copy of the most recently opened school’s children’s names, schedules, calendar, term dates, private lessons, holidays and known cancellations. This copy is stored using device-only iOS Keychain protection and is available for up to seven days after saving. It is refreshed while you use the portal online. Signing out or changing accounts clears the saved copy; it can also be removed from the saved-information screen. An expired copy is removed when the app checks it.
The offline copy does not include payment credentials, medical forms or guardian contact details. It may become out of date while you are disconnected. Protect access to your device, especially if you share it.
Camera or photo access is requested when you choose a relevant upload feature. Notification permission is requested when you enable notifications. You can change permissions in your device settings. Turning off optional permissions may prevent the corresponding feature from working.
Retention and deletion
Account information is kept for the period needed to operate and support your account. School records are kept according to the school’s instructions and applicable obligations. Relevant factors include whether the account or school service remains active, the purpose for which a record was collected, outstanding payments, safeguarding requirements, disputes and legal record-keeping duties.
Some records may need to be retained after an account closes for those purposes. Backup and provider records may remain until replaced or deleted under the applicable backup or retention arrangements. Contact us for the retention period applicable to a particular type of information; your school can explain its own record-retention policy. The separate seven-day limit for the iPhone offline copy is described above.
To request account deletion inside the app, open My account → Delete account and confirm your request. We complete requests within seven days and email you when deletion is complete, explaining any information that must be retained by law. You can still email us for account closure, deletion or removal of information at jvirtualpa@gmail.com. We may verify your identity and, for school-controlled records, involve the school before acting. We will explain any information that must be retained and why. Removing the app from a device does not delete your online account or the school’s records.
International processing
Our providers may process information in the UK and other countries. The locations depend on the service and its hosting configuration. Where UK data-transfer rules apply, transfers require an applicable adequacy arrangement or other appropriate protection, such as recognised contractual safeguards. Contact us for details of the locations and safeguards applicable to your information and how to obtain a copy of relevant safeguards.
Security
Class Ready uses authenticated access, role-based permissions, encrypted network connections and the device protections described above. Security also depends on correct school permissions, account security and the information users choose to share. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access or correct information, request deletion or restricted processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, obtain a portable copy of information, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.
Email jvirtualpa@gmail.com to make a request. Please describe your request without sending unnecessary sensitive information. We will normally respond within one month of receiving a valid request; if an extension is permitted for a complex request, we will explain it.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or contact the data-protection authority in your country. You do not have to contact us first, although we would welcome the opportunity to address your concern.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when the service or our information practices change and revise the date at the top. Where appropriate, we will highlight significant changes in the app or through another suitable channel.
